What the Knoxville News-Sentinel wrote about the Falcons:
Young Falcons: Fulton fell to Boyle County in the quarterfinals of the tournament.
Fulton led with less than a minute remaining before throwing an interception and losing the lead.
The Falcons carried 19 players to the tournament, 14 of whom are either sophomores or freshmen.
Fulton coach Buck Coatney said the passing tournament was a good test for the young Falcons.
"It lets our guys see where they stand and most of these guys are back for two, three more years," he said. "It gives them something to be looking forward to."
Looking to the upcoming season, Coatney said his young players can make plenty of improvement.
"We're going to have to get a little more mentally tough," he said. "It was hot out there (Saturday). I think we have some athleticism but I think our mental toughness could be a little better."
