2008 Fulton Football Youth Camp a Big Success

Information provided by Fulton SID, Russell Mayes:

Fulton High School held its annual youth football camp on Thursday night on Bob Black Field. The free camp, sponsored by St. Mary's Health System, allowed over 100 players to receive instruction from the Fulton coaching staff. Participants in the camp came from the Knoxville Falcons and Emerald Youth Foundation football programs. The camp was divided into sessions. 7-10 year olds participated in an early session, while 11-14 year olds took the field in the second session. Several members of the Fulton varsity football team assisted the coaches in leading the campers through stretching and agility stations and position specific technique drills. Fulton players receive community service credit through the school's Play It Smart program. Members of Northbrook Church provided the campers with popsicles at the conclusion of the evening. Fulton Head Coach Buck Coatney would like to thank everyone involved in making this annual free football camp a success.
